CHAPTER LEADERSHIP

The Executive Council of the Beta Epsilon Chapter is comprised of 10 officers. These include the Archon, Vice Archon, Treasurer, Secretary, Warden, Historian, Chaplain, Philanthropy Chairman, Risk Management Chairman, and the Standards Board Chairman. Officers are elected by their fellow brothers each November, and represent the chapter on both a campus and national level.

Archon: Jacob Beavers

Jacob Beavers is our current Archon and former Treasurer. He grew up in Mt. Zion, IL and was initiated into Pi Kappa Phi in the Fall of 2019. He is currently pursuing a degree in Biomedical Engineering with a minor in Business. After graduation, he hopes to work in design of prostheses and medical equipment as well as return to school to obtain a Master of Health Administration. He joined Pi Kapp because he “wanted to be able to contribute to building the foundation of a new chapter, and during rush, I felt that all of the guys were genuine and welcoming.” Jacob’s favorite thing about the fraternity is that it gave him a “home away from home with a bunch of great guys.” When he is not in class he enjoys working out and hiking.

Vice Archon: Owen McCusker

Owen McCusker is a junior majoring in Nursing at Mizzou. He comes from far out of state, on the East Coast from Portsmouth, NH. Back home he enjoys going surfing on the beach during the summer and playing ice hockey during the winter. When Owen is at school he enjoys nothing more than being involved with Pi Kappa Phi. “My favorite part of the day is when I get to kick back and enjoy the time that I have with my brothers. Every day I am making memories and friendships that will last a lifetime.” After college Owen hopes to become a volunteer for the American Red Cross or join the Peace Corps.

Treasurer: Danny Beaty

Danny Beaty is a sophomore from Denver, CO, hoping to get a degree in business management with an emphasis on entrepreneurship. Danny joined Pi Kappa Phi because he wanted to be a part of a strong brotherhood. His favorite part of Pi Kappa Phi is all of the friends he’s made along the way, and hanging out with the guys. As Treasurer, Danny hopes to manage and spend funds in ways that benefit the chapter and set a standard that lasts.

Secretary: Andrew Chapman

Andrew Chapman is a junior at the University of Missouri in Columbia planning on majoring in Accounting with a dual degree in Economics. He is from Imperial, Missouri, which is just south of St. Louis, where he went to St. John Vianney High School. Andrew an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and enjoys playing racquetball. Last year, he was the Chaplain of the Beta Epsilon chapter of Pi Kappa Phi. This 2021 term, he was elected Secretary. Outside of Pi Kappa Phi, Andrew has been involved in Residential Hall Government as the Treasurer of Wolpers and the current President of the Association of Accounting Students.

Warden: Jordyn Newman

Jordyn Newman is the Warden of our chapter and in charge of new member education. Jordyn is a junior international business student with a minor in computer science. Jordyn is from Bloomington, Illinois, and joined Pi Kappa Phi in the fall of 2019. Jordyn’s favorite part about being a brother is the life long connections made and all the people you get to meet along the way. Jordyn looks forward to educating the new batch of incoming Associate Members and building the future of Pi Kappa Phi at Mizzou.

Historian: Ethan Levy

Ethan Levy is a sophomore from Northbrook, IL, studying journalism at the University of Missouri-Columbia. Ethan joined Beta Epsilon because he wanted to become a part of a community on campus, in addition to meeting new people and developing leadership skills.  His favorite part about being a Pi Kapp is the camaraderie, and always being able to spend time with his brothers, whether it’s at the house or out exploring CoMo. As Historian, Ethan hopes to create more involvement opportunities for our alumni brothers and families of brothers. After college, Ethan hopes to pursue a career in news production or live event production.

Chaplain: Michael Carney

Michael Carney was born in Joplin, Missouri to Brock and Lauren Carney. He is currently a senior in the study of History, and he hopes to attend law school following his graduation. Michael joined the fraternity in pursuit of building an upstanding chapter as a Founding Father. He is excited to serve as Beta Epsilon’s chaplain, saying, “This executive board has a unique opportunity to further the chapter. I can’t wait to make new memories with my brothers!”

Philanthropy Chairman: DeAndre Reading

DeAndre Reading comes to Mizzou from his hometown, Brighton, TN (about 30 minutes outside of Memphis). DeAndre is a junior Political Science major here at Mizzou. DeAndre has hopes to graduate from Mizzou and then attend Mizzou Law the following year. DeAndre chose Pi Kappa Phi because he found a group of guys he could call his second family. Why he likes being a brother ties into why he chose Pi Kappa Phi, and that is because he can call on any of the brothers and they are always there to help.

Risk Management Chairman: Jacob Bridwell

Jacob Bridwell is a junior at the University of Missouri. Jacob is currently studying to be a Personal Financial Planner and he hopes to obtain his CFP outside of college. Jacob is from Wildwood, Missouri where he attended Eureka High School. When asked why he joined Pi Kapp, Jacob’s response was “I didn’t choose Pi Kapp, Pi Kapp chose me.”

Standards Board Chairman: Noah Simpkins

Noah Simpkins is a Founding Father, past Scholarship Chairman, Risk management Chairman, and current Standards Board Chairman. He is from New Lenox, Illinois and is a senior pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in management and a certificate in Human Resources Management. He joined Pi Kapp to create something bigger than himself with his best friends and to leave a lasting impact on the Mizzou campus. After graduation, he hopes to work in the HR field in Chicago.
